JConcepts are bringing a little of the 2000 back to 1:10 offroad buggy racing with the Dragonator body shell for the Team Associated’s latest 2WD and 4WD buggies. Offered for both the RC10B7.1 and the RC10B84, the new body is heavily inspired by the early 2000’s dynamo. The 1:10th buggy class is ruled primary by JConcepts performance bodies such as the S2, F2, P2, and S15 and for the new season of offroad racing Jason Ruona and his Florida company has got a bit more creative and sculpted and notched up to another level with this angular beauty stating the β€˜Cab forward, cab rearward, the debate lives on, but the Dragonator is something different’. Starting from another clean slate, the designers threw all existing JConcepts models out the window. A good portion of the new shell is all cab, the narrow front develops width as it reaches the rear, up to a specialty fin where it picks up stability. The long swooping side windows provide an aggressive stance that all converges to the front like an arrow. Plenty of room for window borders, painters, and hobbyists can have a blast detailing, painting, and adding their signature scheme to this new bullet. The power pods are raised in advanced territory directing and channeling flow over the centre of the chassis and through to the rear. The heavy inner edge of the power pods is a hard stop but ultimately the defining concept of the new item. The decreasing radius portion of the back of the cab is unique, created to ride low-profile on the track surface and equalize the front to rear bias of the all-cab concept. Stepped rear β€œdoghouse” serves as the termination point of the windows and positions it just before the rear tower.
